Romeo and Juliet Style Shoot

We always love the opportunity to be part of a style shoot based on a particular theme. When Chelle and Dana from Revel and Bloom approached us about doing a shoot based on a Romeo and Juliet theme we said yes of course and were thrilled at the challenge to create a fairy tale themed stationery suite.

The shoot was at the boutique Hotel Teatro inside of their wine cellar room.  A perfect location for a shoot such as this. A “feast” concept with over the top flowers, candelabras and shades of golds and warm tones set the stage for a romantic, beautiful setting. Take a look at these oh so super fun photos and inspiration.

The florals were a beautiful mix of elegance and grace designed by the amazing Lisa at Sweet Pea Flowers. I am in love with all of the fruit and cheese platters. The overall design was fantastic with tons of layering of fabrics, florals, glass and brass.

The invitation by Idea Chíc was composed of a red velvet fabric with a double gold tassel tie reminiscent of the Shakespearean days. When opened the entire invitation was composed of a weathered parchment paper with old scrolling graphics and details. The extra card cards were finished with hand torn edges.

I love the romantic details and styling with the bride and groom.  There was even a harpist!

Quotes from Romeo and Juliet were incorporated into different areas throughout the design.  Such a fun and different idea. A pick your potion liquor bar and love potion favors completed the fun details.
